The Washington State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP) advocates for residents of nursing homes, adult family homes, and assisted living facilities. Its purpose is to protect and promote the residents’ rights guaranteed under Federal and State law and regulations. It does this with the help of a corps of rigorously trained and qualified long-term care ombudsman volunteers. The LTCOP also educates the public on residents’ rights.
