Agencies tend to be more expensive than individual home care workers. In return, an agency frees you from some tasks, including finding, hiring and firing, and supervising workers; finding substitutes when needed, and managing employee taxes.
People with limited incomes may be eligible for Medicaid and qualify for in-home services. Eligible individuals need significant assistance with activities of daily living.
